MarkoJust returned from a long weekend in Austria with a book about Austian castles. Schloss Arenberg is listed with the following text, which I've tried to translate from German into English.
" A sechsachsiger (don't know the english translation), three floors high building with a long front, Mittelrisalit with Giebel (don't know the english translation for those also), balcony with glass windows, a chapel at the back. Build in the 14th century by Max von Keutzl. After that it was possessed by the families of Von Pirgelstein (hence the nickname Pürglstein around 1527), Von Ritz, Rehlingen, the Archbishop J.E. Thun and the Ursulinen (I guess that's a female Order). The castle burned down in 1814 and was rebuild.

------------------
"But round about the castle there began to grow a hedge of thorns, which every year became higher...."
